About Us
Black Top Ranch
Black Top Ranch includes horse stables and paddocks, an Indoor arena, and outdoor arena, and hay sales. The Ranch sits on over 260 acres in beautiful Leonard, OK. Surrounded by pecan orchards, sod farms, and cattle ranches, the ranch features woods, open fields, ponds, and a beautiful landscape.
The 2020 built Horse Boarding Stable and Indoor Arena features a 20 stall custom-built heated stall barn, a 150 x 80 indoor arena, wash racks, tack room, restrooms and a full-time staff to care for the Horses. Also on property are 2 other stall barns, a 100 x 250 outdoor arena, a 100 x 200 outdoor arena, multiple pastures, paddocks and turnouts. An additional 26 stall heated and fly-sprayed show barn was added in 2021.
Black Top Ranch is home to AQHA/APHA 16H Stallion- COUNT THE MINUTES and numerous World Champion Show Horses and is open to the public for horse boarding, Training, Lessons, Showing, and Sales. The ranch is owned by the Herman Family who is active participants in the ranch as well as showing AQHA, APHA, and PtHA horses at the World Show level. The family shows Halter, Western, English, Ranch, Longe-line, Futurities, and All-Around and ensures the best operation possible for their clients horses to match the attention to detail given their own World Champion horses.
The consulting manager and Head Trainer is industry veteran and multiple-time World Champion and NSBA and mult breed association certified Judge, Kevin George of KG Performance Horses. Kevin's experience spans all facets of the equine world from breaking young horses to All-Around Showing, Speed-events, Halter Horse fitting, breeding operations, sales prep and acquisition, and rehab.
A crew of dedicated and caring professionals provide the best care for all horses at the facility. .
We are accepting horses for training and have opening for new lesson clients.
We offer boarding, lessons, training, sales, and showing opportunities for any discipline.

A Stall in one of our heated barns, board includes a 12x12 custom stall in our heated barn with feed twice daily, unlimited grass hay/water, turnout when conditions permit, daily stall service, and access to the Ranch Indoor and outdoor arenas and over 260 acres of trail riding. Owners can visit during business hours.

Intermediate to Advanced Horse Riding Lessons
For those able to tack horses, warm up, and cool down horses independently, More SPECIFIC to discipline (Western, English, Ranch, Speed, Halter, Trail riding, showmanship, etc). With Assistant or Head Trainer, depending on skill and preference
